VP8LGT News 2006

Putting together the station and antenna went well in spite of the very strong winds and snow.

Operation on Friday evening was hampered by water in the fuel line freezing, resulting in the generator stopping every few minutes until the ice melted. A replacement was brought to the site, but the best conditions had passed by then.

We were able to hear Europe and Stateside strong on 40 and 80. Very strong JA’s on 40 on Saturday and Sunday morning.

The people operating the special call were:

Bob and Janet (VP8LP and AIB)   Donald (VP8ON)   Mike (VP8NO)   Neil (VP8AWU)

Charlie (VP8ML)
