Beta Plus has a long keel with bilge plates, allowing her to sit upright on the beach. She is ketch rigged with roller reefing on the main. This doesn’t work very well so conversion is planned to in-boom reefing which I hope will make her faster and easier to handle in our rapidly changing weather conditions.
She has 6 berths; V berth in the forecabin, double berth in the aft cabin and the dinette folds down to make another double berth.
Beta Plus was imported from the UK arriving on the “Santa Ines” in October 2004. Before this she was based in Essex and I believe she also spent about 12 years of her life in the Mediterranean. Built around 1980.
If anyone has more information about Beta Plus in her early life, it would be much appreciated.
